DAGUERREOTYPE OF A YOUNG MAN OVAL FRAME
A very nice & unusual daguerreotype of a nice looking young man, mounted in an oval frame. The gilt mat is approx 3.2 x 2.7" (6th plate) with 1.5 x 1.2" opening, the case has a brass hanger on top, and back has a fold-out flap for sitting the photo upright. The image is VG, the case has wear to edges, and backrest hinge is weak.
