FRAMED PHOTO AMHERST MASS MAN WITH A CANE A nice Civil War era oval framed waistview photo of an old man with an ivory head cane. This distinguished gent is dressed in an antebellum style man's suit and cravat. The 14 x 12" wood frame has an attractive brown and gilt gesso finish. Reverse has the original wood back and a label for "Amherst Picture Gallery JL Lovell Operator". Fine cracks in frame but sturdy and overall VG.

RICHFIELD SPRINGS NEW YORK CIVIL WAR ALBUM A nice Civil War era CDV photo album, containing 41 Civil War era CDV photos of men, ladies, children, incl 16 photos with backmarks by Getman & Bowdish, Richfield Springs, 7 with Little Falls, New York & Schenevus, New York backmarks by Wm H Abbott, Manzer Bros. & others, rest are various New York backmarks, a few Michigan or else blank. The album full capacity is 50 CDVs, of which these 41remain. The CDVs are all VG, some nice images of Civil War era ladies. None of the images are named. The album is leather bound w gilt embossed designs and brass hinges. The binding is good, covers w average wear.
