CAVALRY CIVIL WAR COLT REVOLVERS Henry Lee Higginson was a noted Boston officer, 1st Massachusetts Cavalry, was wounded in hand to hand combat at Aldie, Virginia; postwar he founded the Boston Symphony Orchestra. MICHIGAN CIVIL WAR SOLDIER'S PAY SUTLER VOUC Group of 8 Michigan Civil War soldiers items, each a signed voucher request by a 13th Michigan Infantryman that the paymaster take funds from his final pay to settle with WR & SH Reynolds (I believe this was a sutler) each given at Jackson Michigan, August 1865 when the unit was mustered out. Each is sgd by the soldier and another man of his unit as a witness. At War's End, many soldiers had accounts due to the regimental sutlers. FORT BROWN TEXAS ARMY TELEGRAMS 1870S Group of 8 original Fort Brown Texas telegrams, 7 are standard Western Union telegrams, 1874, issued at Fort Brown by Army QM AS Kimball, to officers at San Antonio and New Orleans, re shipping supplies, best routes, items needed, etc, each is a retained copy signed by an officer, most by Lt John B Nixon, 24th Infantry (a notable officer of the US Colored Infantry in the Kiowa Wars).
