Circa: 1880s
Manufacturer: Central Studio, Worcester, Mass

Charles Richard Hill, a Holden, Mass native was a Massachusetts First Defender, enlisted at Worcester, April 1861 w the 3rd Mass Rifles , also with 25th Mass Volunteers, 18th Army Corp, 1861-1865. An original Civil War veteran cabinet card photograph chestview of Hill in civilian coat wearing a GAR Post Officer membership medal and 18th Army Corp unit association medal, circa 1880s. The 6 x 4" card bears the photo imprint "Central Studio, Worcester, Mass". The image comes with a scan of a later image showing him with the 18th Corp medal & GAR star badge & a family ink inscribed ID. Comes w service info, 1861-1865 ( wounded at Petersburg).
