Civil War National Delegate Medal for the 45th National Grand Army Encampment at Rochester, New York 1911. Large 4-pc bronze medal depicts enameled GAR shield & Natl Commander, US flags & eagle w crossed cannons pinbar. The ribbon is tattered. The medal comes in it's original lined box- the box lid is nicely marked for the National Encampment Rochester . The box & lid are sound w edge wear. The medal is owner idd- a cloth tag is ink inscr "Original Possession John Buckley Co F 40th N.Y. Vols.". W service info for Buckley, served 1861-64. |
