an historic New York Revolutionary War pension certificate- Captain John Wiley attests Josiah Willson served in Capt David Lyon's Company under "Colonel, later General McDougall" New York Line Feb- Dec 1776, signed by John Wiley a Captain served in Colonel McDougal's 1st New York regiment. The 1st NY fought in the Battle of White Plains, NY during this time. Alexander KacDougall was Colonel of the 1st New York Volunteers, 1776, and became Major General in the Revolution. signed by Wiley in a bold hand, Sept 1821. 1p 8 x 11' ink. Vg. |
