(Lynn Massachusettts), maker M.C.Lilley, Columbus, Ohio. 28" blade is dark, rusty. Black wood 2-piece grip w applied cross, brass crossguard w cast rooster, 12 stars, cast knights head pommel w traces of silver finish. 35" overall. No scabbard. 2) Knights of Pythias fraternal sword w Knight Templar illus & symbols, owner name etched "Henry L Leighton". Brass crossguard w cast eagles, mkd "UR"and "FCB", nightshead pommel, scabbard w relief cast Biblical Sampson, mfg WA Raymond, NY. Both swords circa 1880-90s. The pair |
