A nice group of 4 Civil War photoraphs of Union Army officers 1) Major Amos Stickney, pencil inscr on front as Chief of Engineers (He was Chief Engineer of Sherman's Army, 2) Colonel Henry M Black, pencil inscribed, (Black commanded California posts incl Fort Humboldt during the Klamath War of 1864), 3) Captain EC Boynton, 29th Infantry, Adjuytant at West Point.(Author of the USMA History), ink inscr on front, 4) Surgeon John F Head, USA (US Army Surgeon). Ink inscr on front. Each photo is a chestview, in uniform, on 8 x 10" mat, ink or pencil idd w rank on front of the mat. All vg w minor stains, age spots, all date to circa late 1865.
