A handsome brass hat badge, shield shaped w seal of the State of Michigan- an eagle, deer and a Latin motto, approx 2 x 2" stamped brass, reverse w soldered brass wires. I believe this is mid-19th century but am not sure how it was used, possibly a militia item. VG. |
