A very nice crudely cast brass sappers insignia, flaming bomb w cast cutout "Z" for Zapadora" sand cast and reverse w integral cast loops. I believe this is a cartridge box plate, This came w a Mexican War era US Engineers cast insignia. Possibly a West Point officer relic. Approx 4 x 3".
