A classic Civil War CDV image of a freed slave man and 3 small children, titled "Learning is Wealth", reverse w imprint stating the proceeds of the sale of the image will go to the education of Colored People in the Dept of the Gulf, w 1864 copyright by S. Tackaberry, New York. W revenue stamp. The fair skinned children were claimed to be black, the adult, Wilson Chinn was a branded slave who was freed in Louisiana. a very uncommon image, average wear and age spots.
