A great Civil War letter praising President Abraham Lincoln, written by JE Willis, Keokuk, Iowa, w handsome large ptd logo "Headquarters Military Commander Keokuk, Iowa", Dec 6, 1864, to Captain Jesse Wilder, congratulates him on election to county office in Iowa despite being "far away in the West", rejoices that "Father Abraham has been called by the Lord the second time. Hurrah for Abraham."; rest of the letter is news of friends and business. 2pp 8 x 11" ptd/ink. Vg.
