June 2, 1843 issue w front page woodcut illustrated article, proporting to be a Sermon or "Popular Discourse Delivered by Pompey Alexander Smash", in minstral show accent. Also cartoons of Boston fops & gossipy ladies of the Town. Inside pages w ads by "Dr Peters", claiming for cures for Veneral Diseases. Wear at edges, folds, vg overall.
