The Maker is MC Lilley, Columbus, Ohio. The silvered brass guard bears a rooster casting and 12 stars on each side. The 2-pc wood grip has an w applied cross The steel scabbard has silvered brass fittings w inlay red enamel cross, 10 rayed star on tip. A really lovely sword, approx 38" overall. Circa 1870s. The Templars of "The Da Vinci Code" became the freemason order that wears these swords.
