Manufacturer: Unknown
I got these in 1989 from the famous Josiah Bartlett Museum/Estate sale. Bartlett, a doctor from Kingston, was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. This is a pair of wrought iron beam holders, each approx 10 x 4"- one end is a u-shape strap with 2 holes for attachment to a wooden beam for supporting large tents and other light shelter structures. The opposite end is tapered to a point, for insertion in the ground, keeping the upright stable, and off the soil. Both are vg, w nice age patina, and show use- the U-base has wear from being driven. The pair come with a copy of the Bartlett auction circular. |
