NED BUNTLINE Ned Buntline was a noted Western writer & associate of Buffalo Bill Cody. Original June 30, 1870 issue of the adevnture journal, "The New York Weekly" w illustrated frontpage, showing frontier figure lassoing an Indian warrior, & feature serial adventure titled "Little Buckshot, The White Whirlwind of the Prairie", by Ned Buntline, Col. EZC Judson, Author of Buffalo Bill". 8pp newspaper format also includes lurid stories incl 'Arabella's Two Lovers", "Edna's Debt & How She Paid It" etc. wear at folds , edges, but very presentable & graphic.  

MVM CARTRIDGE BOX INSIGNIA A handsome & scarce cast brass insignia, "MVM" in nice script, approx 2.7 x 1.5", w integral back hooks, for the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia. The matching beltplate is iullus in O'Donnell & Campbell "American Military Beltplates". Exc, nondug, circa 1870s.  

FERDINAND DE LESSEPS SUEZ CANAL BUILDER Ferdinand DeLesseps was the French genius who built the Suez Canal in the 1860s. De lesseps was the recipeint of many honors, incl the honor of presenting the Statue of Liberty to America on behalf of the people of France.
