NEW HAMPSHIRE PHOTO ALBUM a great group of 21 New Hampshire family photos in a leather bound photo album, w ornate brass fittings- 50 CDV capacity, contains 21 circa 1870s CDVs and tintypes of men, women, kids, many w East Jaffrey New Hampshire photo imprints, a few Keene & Peterboro, New Hampshire, also Fitchburg, Lowell, Massachusetts photographer imprints. . Most CDVs are vg, the album is rough w many torn pages. One East Jaffrey CDV is pencil idd, "Miss Ellen Mower".

Stencilling partially legible " Batty F 3rd Field Artillery Fort Myer Va", circa 1890s-1910. Battery F was the first battery to fire a round at Gettysburg. 2 ) approx 20 x 11 x 6". w wood lug handles, unmarked, no seals, posssibly Civil War or before. both w square nail construction, no lid, wood intact, w age cracks, stains, uncleaned. SABER BAYONET a rugged saber bayonet, appprox 24" long with an 18.5" yaghtahan blade, the ricasso is stamped "S & J". The rifle ring inner diameter is approx 3/4". The grips are black checkered leather. The curved "J" shape guard has numbers or regimental stampings. Fair overall, metal is fairly clean, grips are worn. No scabbard. This could date from 1860s to 1890s, possibly English issue but maker S & K was a Solingen, Germany maker. No scabbard.

GALENA WARE POT an old original galena ware crock- wide mouth, with ornage glaze, green spots. This is an early one, I got it at Minerla Point, wsiconsin, in 1992. , pot glaze wear & use wear on rim, repaired crack on one side & 1/2 of the bottom. aprox 8 x 5".

EARLY PUNT GUN a massive early percussion shotgun w oversize triggerguard to allow room for mitten- wearing hunter. Bore is approx 20mm (13/16"), barrel is 46", 63" overall. The gun is unmarked except for underside of barrel- stamped "I Marson", and bears the English "viewing" & "final" gunmakers proofs. The oversize triggerguard and buttplate are uncleaned brass. The Tower musket styke stock retains one brass lock bolt fitting, stock is attached by flat pins w oval keepers. Ramord rail is old resoldered, w 1 brass, one iron rr loop. The gun shows much use, age, w rough, cleaned lock. Marson may be an early Birmingham England maker. weighs approx 12 lbs. THIS GUN IS AN ANTIQUE ONLY AND IS NOT SAFE TO SHOOT

An original US Army supply receipt, issued at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas Territory, May 24th, 1860, listing items issued to Fort Bridger & Captain Gibbons, Camp Floyd, (Utah), and to the 2nd Dragoons at Fort Kearny w a long list of everything from "Buffalo Overshoes" & 20 bales of Sack Coats, to 12 Barrels of Whisky, signed by BF Burche, as agent for Irwin & White. 8 x 11" ptd/ink, blue paper, w "Fort Leavenworth, K.T" letterhead, & Vg. A very rare Western signature.

KNIGHT'S TEMPLARS SWORD a very handsome and early Knight's Templars fraternal sword w bright finish blade etched w a large figure of a Knight Templar, and owner name etched in blade "Harold Augustus Naugle, Olivet Commandery No 36, KT Lynn Mass". The Maker is MC Lilley, Columbus, Ohio. The silvered brass guard bears a rooster casting and 12 stars on each side. The 2-pc wood grip has an w applied cross The steel scabbard has silvered brass fittings w inlay red enamel cross, 10 rayed star on tip. A really lovely sword, approx 38" overall. Circa 1870s. The Templars of "The Da Vinci Code" became the freemason order that wears these swords.

Captain Sumner was the future major general; Chambers, Iowa's first Territorial Governor, made this disbursement as part of the terms for the Sac & Fox Treaty of 1842. 16 x 16" ink. Vg. Comes w the original newspaper, the Washington Natl Intelligencer, Nov 6, 1841 w page 2 w full account of the Treaty Council between Keokuk's Band & Chambers. 4pp, complete. The pair

Handsome 2p--pc brass coat buttons w crossed cannon, piles of cannon balls and crown, also a few Pionerer Corp buttons in lot, the latter w crossed picks & crown, maker Scovill Mfg Co, Waterbury. All vg, uncleaned. The group.

HOPI POTTERY a nice piece of signed Hopi Indian pottery, from the Hopi Mesas, Arizona, approx 4" tall by 5.5" wide, with lovely traditional geometric designs, and sgd by the potter, "Cocllateta". I got this from the potter in the early 1990s. A lovely piece of Native- American pottery.
