Vg, reverse w pencil inscr "Decorah Drum Corps, Ossian Ia, Jack Frost Calmar Ia" " exc detail, scrapes in margins. The Iowa group performed at the New Orleans World Exposition in 1885.

EZC Judson, Author of Buffalo Bill". 8pp newspaper format also includes lurid stories incl 'Arabella's Two Lovers", "Edna's Debt & How She Paid It" etc. wear at folds , edges, but very presentable & graphic.

A very rare group of 10 US Army Orders pertaining to Alcatraz, incl 3 US Army Orders, issued at HQ Dept of California, San Francisco appointing officers for the trials of prisoners at Alcatraz Island, 4 orders sending various Army prisoners to Alcatraz , 2 Orders sending Army paymasters to Alcatraz Island to pay ther troops, 1 order reassigns officer to Alcatraz Island. All orders issued 1870-1872, each approx 8 x10' ptd/ink, most ink sgd by Genl Schofeld's ADC and stamped dockets. All good to vg, edges trimmed, a few w stains. The group of 10 Orders

FORT BROWN TEXAS ARMY TELEGRAMS 1870S Group of 8 original Fort Brown Texas telegrams, 7 are standard Western Union telegrams, 1874, issued at Fort Brown by Army QM AS Kimball, to officers at San Antonio and New Orleans, re shipping supplies, best routes, items needed, etc, each is a retained copy signed by an officer, most by Lt John B Nixon, 24th Infantry (a notable officer of the US Colored Infantry in the Kiowa Wars). The 8th is a translated Mexican telegraph company telegram, w English note by an American officer , re supplies from Matamoras, also sgd by a 24th Infantry officer.
