ARAB SWORD
handsome and very old sword from North Africa, made in style of crusader swords, by an Arab craftsman who re-shaped an older blade, shortening it to 29", w wide blood gutter, and added a hand forged Crusader style cross guard. Blade still bears original blade maker mks "D. Peres". Peres was a Solingen, Germany sword & knife maker No grip. A very handsome & massive sword, likely a relic of the Kitchener Campaign against the Somali tribesmen. .

a nice Pair of World War American Veteran garrison caps, 1 ) Forty and Eight Society Cap- The doughboy veteran "'40 & 8'" Society" name derived from the French railroad box cars that hauled the troops to the Front- each car posted a notice that capacity was 40 men or 8 horses. a striking field blue cap w embroidered "40/8", & "Post 370, Conn" lettering, and a 1" home-made wood pin button depicting a skull & crossbones & the Post number. A 40/8 Membership medal is attached- the handsome bronze medal shows soldiers aboard a boxcar, w blue/bray ribbon. 2 ) American Legion garrison cap,also bearing a 40/8 Scoiety pin, with embroidered lettering "Past Commander 8 Connecticut" & Legion starburst emblem. a great pair of WW2 Pacific campaign GI souvenirs- a pair of old cherrywood chopsticks, approx 8" long. . I assume these were liberated by a GI, as they have an old 2" typed label reading "Jap Chopsticks comb mirror" (didnt come with mirror or comb). vg.

BRITISH CHURCH LADS VOLUNTEERS 1915
Photo of the young men of "St Mary's Lewisham Church Lad's Brigade", at Shepperton, July 1915. 9 x 12 outdoor view of 20 or so teens in British Army uniform, and each neatly ink identified on fronyt, incl noncoms & officers. The Church Lads were soon in the trenches, many served w the London & Norfolk regiments & died in 1918. Lovely image, should be researched.

a really attractive cassarole bowl shaped like an ear of corn, the cassarole lid is a corn husk. Bright yellow and green glaze is excellent. The raised lettering on bottom is "Shawnee USA Oven Proof". 12" long, 5.5" wide. Excellent condition.

WATT POTTERY ADVERTISING BOWL
Watt Pottery bowl with yellow glaze and hand-painted apple & leaves; this was a merchant's give-away; inside the bowl is neatly lettered "Huber"s Store Ft. Atkinson, Iowa" 7 1/2 " wide, 5" deep. A handsome Watt Advertising bowl from Iowa. Vg, tiny makers chip under the glaze on bottom rim, no cracks or crazing. Bottom markings "Oven Proof USA", mostly covered by glaze.

An early War, Somme era compass, identical to a 1915 mfg one shown in Brassey's " World War One British Army" This compass has seen some action and the lid has cracked glass.

WWI German soldier's canteen from Mass estate, probably brought back by a GI. German Army issue tinware, w pewter spout, brown corduroy cover stencilled w owners name. Missing stopper but has the original tinware drinking cup and this one has the matching owner's name stamped on the cloth cover & the cup bracket. Cover w wear, mothing, canteen & cup vg. Very unusual to find these with the cloth cover and cup.
